Message I got an AAA plus membership and used it to tow my car to the paint shop. Worked great! Got the engine bay painted and alot of areas on the car touched up. It looks amazing. The price was too good to be true. Only $300 and he practically repainted half the car. I just told him do as much as you can for $300. He just started up his shop so he doesn't have much business yet so he was "bored". Since he was bored, he decided to repaint the hood and hatch "just because, it was begging me to do it". He wetsanded everything.

It was too good to be true. I called AAA for a tow 30min before I got to the shop. All 20 times I've called AAA they take atleast 1hour, but not this time! He got there in 10min and I wasn't there yet. The tow truck driver was PISSED OFF. He actually got violent and upset at the shop owner. He was upset that the car obviously had no motor. WTF does he CARE? He gets paid anyway! He even tattle taled on me to AAA. He told the AAA lady that I quote "attempted fraudulent use AAA, abuse of AAA priveleges, car has no motor". I made up a story off the cuff on the phone to the AAA lady that I parked my car and someone stole my engine, that this particular motor is a very highly valued rare motor and if someone out there knows what they're looking for they will steal it. Her supervisor told her it is AAA's policy that they don't tow vehicles with no motor.

No biggie, I'll pay for the tow, hopefully i break down within the next 12 months so I can get some use out of my membership. But the hard part is I need a place to work on my car. I've been working in a driveway and its not working out so now I need to find a place that has shelter because of the tropical storms we have on a daily basis here in FL like clockwork everyday around 5pm. All the storage unit places I called require the car be in running condition, and you're not allowed to work on your car at any of them, because of insurance reasons or some shit. Not that anyone would want to do work in a storage unit; there's no electricity, and it's bascially a big metal oven, atleast 10 degrees hotter than outside, it probably would cause heatstroke.

Anyone have any recommendations? thanks,
